Cookies

Some of our web pages use cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically erased after your visit. Other cookies remain in your device's memory until you delete them. These cookies make it possible to recognise your browser when you next visit the site.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f of the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimised service is provided free of technical errors. If other cookies (such as those used to analyse your surfing behaviour) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files". This includes:

_ Browser type and browser version
_ Operating system used
_ Referrer URL
_ Host name of the accessing computer
_ Time of the server request
_ IP address

These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR.

The data will be stored for the term of a hosting agreement. Your data will be erased as soon as it is no longer necessary for us to process your personal data.

Contact form

Should you send us enquiries via the contact form, we will collect the data entered on the form, including the contact details you provide, to answer your enquiry and any follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your permission.

We will therefore process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent, as per Art. 6 (1) a GDPR.

You may revoke that consent at any time. It is sufficient to send us an informal email message to this effect. The legality of any data processed prior to revocation of your consent remains affected by this.

We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its erasure, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for storing it has past (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.

5. Plug-ins and tools

Vimeo

Our website uses features provided by the Vimeo video portal. This service is provided by Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

When you visit one of our pages featuring a Vimeo plug-in, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. As part of that process, the Vimeo server will be informed about which of our pages you have visited. In addition, Vimeo will receive your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged into Vimeo when you visit our website or do not have a Vimeo account. The information is transmitted to a Vimeo server in the US, where it is stored.

Whenever you are logged into your Vimeo account, you allow Vimeo to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.

We expressly distance ourselves from any responsibility for the data processed and stored by Vimeo, since we have no control over it. For more information on the handling of user data, please refer to the Vimeo Privacy Policy on: https://vimeo.com/privacy.

At your express request, we will send the “Disruptive News” newsletter, for which we use the services of MailChimp. The supplier of this servicer is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

MailChimp is a service that enables the distribution of newsletters to be organised and analysed. When you enter your personal details for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g. your email address), they are saved on MailChimp servers in the US.

MailChimp is a certified “EU-US Privacy Shield” service provider. The “Privacy Shield” is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the US that European data protection standards will be upheld in the US.

We use MailChimp to help us analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent by MailChimp, a file contained in the email (or so-called web beacon) is linked to MailChimp servers in the US. The purpose of this is to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, are clicked as a result. Technical information is also collected (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be traced to the individual newsletter recipient. They serve the sole purpose of statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of this analysis can be used to adapt future newsletters better to the interests of recipients.

If you do not wish any such analysis to be undertaken by MailChimp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. A link for this purpose is included in every newsletter message. Or you can go direct to our website to unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Data processing occurs on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR). You can revoke that consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of any data processed prior to revocation of your consent remains affected by this.

The data you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored with us until you decide to withdraw from the newsletter, and once you have unsubscribed from the newsletter it will be erased from both our servers and the MailChimp servers. Any data stored by us for other purposes (such as email addresses for the Member Area) remain unaffected by this.

For more information, see the Data Protection Terms and Conditions of MailChimp under: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms.
